Man commits cross country credit card crime

MADISON, AL (WAFF) -

A man stands accused of using a credit card that didn't belong to him, and his victim isn't from around here.

In fact, armed with personal information, this thief turned this into a cross-country crime.

Surveillance video shows the thief using a stolen credit card in a self checkout lane at the Walmart on Madison Boulevard November 10th.

Authorities said the victim is from California.

According to police, the thief got his hands on personal information from the victim in California and used it in Madison to buy gift cards.

Surveillance video caught a great shot of the thief as he was leaving the store. He was wearing a dark jacket, jeans, and glasses.
