COLBERT COUNTY, AL (WAFF) -
The storm prediction center has a part of northwest Alabama under a slight risk for severe weather in the middle of the week.
EMA leaders are monitoring the potential for storms.
Community leaders and EMA officials took part in a statewide weather briefing late Monday afternoon.
Officials said the biggest concern with these storms is the potential for damaging winds.
They said to make sure to tie down or bring in any outdoor furniture or other items that could get blown around.
Another weather briefing is set for Tuesday at 2 p.m.
