COLBERT COUNTY, AL (WAFF) -

The body of a man was recovered from Pickwick Lake in Colbert County Saturday.

Authorities say 73-year-old Kenneth Green was fishing near Wilson Dam, when he fell out of his boat.

Two fishermen saw the empty boat in the water and called 9-1-1.

Several agencies responded to the boating accident. They had to shut down the Dam in order to retrieve Green's body.

Authorities say the area can be dangerous because of strong currents from the Dam.

Multiple units responded to the area near Wilson Dam including Marine Police, Muscle Shoals Fire and Colbert County EMA.
