HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -
Huntsville investigators with the department's Robbery Task Force arrested two people in connection with two bank robberies.
Christopher Alan Cooper, 33,
of Huntsville was charged with two counts of robbery first degree. Police said Julie Rhiannon Dye, 34, of Laceys Spring, was charged as an accomplice. She was also charged with two
counts of robbery first degree.
These charges stem from the
December 12th robbery of the Regions Bank at 2511 South Memorial
Parkway, and the January 8th robbery of the Regions Bank at 509
Drake Ave. Investigators said in both instances, the offender entered the bank and produced
a note to the teller.
Cooper is also a fugitive wanted in Kentucky for robbery, so he was also charged with fugitive from justice.
Agents with the Huntsville
office of the FBI assisted in the investigation and federal charges in these
two cases are possible.
