FLORENCE, AL (WAFF) -
A Shoals man was taken into custody after a standoff Thursday afternoon at a home on Button Avenue in Florence.
Police said they went to the home to arrest a man on domestic violence charges, and the man then barricaded himself in the attic.
After about an hour, he surrendered to police.
Police identified the man as Timothy Gardner.
Investigators have been looking for him for a few weeks.
It is unknown at this time if he will face additional charges.
