WALKER, LA (WAFB) -
A Baton Rouge man was sentenced to 15 years behind bars for an armed home invasion.
Lawrence Joseph, 29, and an accomplice entered a Walker home, armed with guns, around noon on October 28, 2011. The suspects stole multiple prescriptions and a cell phone before fleeing.
The victim was able to provide authorities with a description of the getaway car.
When police tried to pull over Joseph, he and his partner-in-crime tossed the stolen items from the car.
Joseph pled no contest to two counts of armed robbery and one count of possession of a firearm by a felon in September 2012.
He will have to serve at least 10 years in prison before he is eligible for parole.
