HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -
One man was arrested Tuesday night after attempting to rob a gas station in Huntsville.
Huntsville Police said two men walked into the Texaco on University Drive between Jordan Lane and Sparkman Drive when one of the men pulled a knife on the cashier.
The incident happened just after 8 p.m.
Mark Neeley, Jr., 31, pulled a knife on the cashier and began grabbing bottles of wine. Police said that's when the cashier pulled a gun on Neeley.
Both men left the store empty-handed. Neeley, Jr., was charged with first degree robbery.
Police on the scene said the second man was not involved with the attempted robbery.
