ALBERTVILLE, AL (WAFF) -
A judge has set a new preliminary hearing date for a woman accused of killing her 2-year-old grandson.
Rebecca Elrod faces a charge of criminally negligent homicide.
Investigators said she was under the influence of prescription medication at time of the accident in October at a home on Diane Avenue in Albertville.
Two-year-old Brayden Lucas Daniel died at a local hospital.
Elrod was supposed to appear in court last week, but her attorney was sick.
Her new hearing date is set for February 15th.
