Each year, Convene hosts approximately 150 to 200 prominent CEOs and business owners from across the country for two and a half days of instruction, inspiration, and peer-to-peer interaction. The aim is to encourage and equip business leaders to take the practical steps necessary to lead their businesses to a new level of success and Kingdom significance.
Colleen Barrett is currently President Emeritus of Southwest Airlines Co., a high-frequency, low-fare, point-to-point airline which prides itself in its excellent Customer Service qualities. She was named one of the country's 50 Most Powerful Women in Business by Fortune magazine in 2003 and is a highest honors graduate of Becker Junior College in Worcester, Mass.
She will be speaking on “Creating a High Performing Culture through Servant Leadership.”
"If you hire good people, are clear about your expectations, and then follow those expectations yourself, how can you go wrong?" asked Barrett. "Culture is not created by one person or even one team. Culture is a spirit of values that you believe in and you walk it, talk it, breathe it and live it."
Founded in 1996, Convene is a dynamic community of Christian CEOs and business owners meeting together to help each other build exceptional businesses, increase leadership success, and have greater Kingdom impact through the principle of “iron sharpening iron.”
