HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -
One man was taken to the hospital after he was shot during a domestic dispute in Huntsville.
The shooting happened off Cutler Dr. in Saturday night around 8 p.m. The girlfriend told police the two were in a physical fight before she shot her boyfriend, Godwin Odoemelan, in the back.
The woman, who police have not released the name of, is in custody for questioning. Police are investigating the shooting and said she may have shot her boyfriend in self-defense.
HEMSI officials said the man's injuries are life-threatening.
