HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -
An urgent call is going out for blood.
The cold wet weather has dried up the supply of blood at Life South.
Life South officials said supplies are already low, and blood usage at many local hospitals has been far above normal. Then the bad weather forced them to cancel blood drives.
Blood types AB positive and negative and O negative are needed the most.
Donors must be 17 or older or 16 with parental permission. They must weigh a minimum of 110 pounds and be in good health. A photo ID is also required.
