LEIGHTON, AL (WAFF) -
The mayor of Leighton said the town council is considering shutting off more than a dozen street lights to help save money.
Most of the 17 lights are on Alabama 20.
Nothing has been decided on yet.
The mayor said they must first meet with Sheffield Utilities to see if shutting those lights off would even make a difference financially.
