MADISON COUNTY, AL (WAFF) -
Despite
some long awaited sunshine, a flood warning remains in effect for Madison,
Marshall and Morgan Counties.
The
National Weather Service said the Tennessee River was at 18.3 feet and rising
as of 11 a.m. Friday. They expect it to rise to 20 feet by Friday evening.
Flood
stage is 17 feet.
Officials
advise minor flooding is occurring, but said if the river reaches 21 feet,
significant flooding will impact Redstone Arsenal and areas of Morgan County.
