DECATUR, AL (WAFF) -
A Morgan County woman accused of killing her three-year-old son will go to trial August 26.
Casey Travis is charged with the 2009 murder of her son Jayden.
Morgan County investigators say the child died after ingesting the drug Suboxone.
Suboxone is used to treat opiate addictions.
Travis was supposed to go to trial in February. The trial was delayed when Travis's original attorney was given permission to drop the case. Travis now has a court appointed attorney.
