NACOGDOCHES, TX (KTRE) -
Nacogdoches
County Sheriff's deputies arrested a 17-year-old Houston man late Wednesday
night for state jail felony possession of marijuana after he allegedly boarded
a Kerrville bus with a duffle bag containing 3 pounds of marijuana and a
pistol.

Jones is still being held in the Nacogdoches County Jail on a charge of
possession of marijuana between 4 ounces and 5 pounds. No bond has been set at
this time.

Sheriff Jason Bridges said that NCSO deputies conducted a routine check of
Kerrville bus parked at the bus station located at 2915 NW Stallings Drive
around 11:30 p.m. Wednesday night.
According
to a press release, the deputies observed a man acting nervous and moving from
seat to seat. When the NCSO deputies approached Jones they allegedly smelled
the odor of marijuana coming from his duffle bag.
After the
deputies got permission to search the duffle bag, they found the marijuana and
the pistol. He was arrested at the scene for state jail felony possession of
marijuana and unlawfully possessing, and deputies took him to the Nacogdoches
County Jail.
