GADSDEN, AL (WAFF) -
Testing has determined that a dog skinned in Gadsden
sustained the injuries in an animal attack.
Skip, a 9-year-old Dachsund, was found mutilated behind his
house. A veterinarian examined him and believed his injuries were caused by a
person.
A person of interest was identified in the case, but no one
came forward with any information.
Skip's remains were sent for necropsy and it was determined
he had been attacked by an animal.
Investigators are still looking into the case because of
conflicting reports and further testing is planned.
Until other leads are discovered, this case will be
in-activated and anyone who donated to the reward will receive a refund. Reward donors will be contacted by the
Criminal Investigation Division on the refund process.
