MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) -
Authorities in Georgia are releasing the cause of death for 3 Montgomery, Alabama residents who were found dead inside a car near Atlanta over the weekend.
The Fulton County Medical Examiner's office confirmed that two victims found in the backseat of the automobile, Quinones King, and Rodney Cottrell, were killed by asphyxiation.
The third victim, Cheryl Colquitt-Thompson, 32, found in the trunk, died from ligature strangulation.
No additional information on suspects or motives was immediately available.
The victims were found by a police officer on routine duty who stopped to look into the reason for a silver vehicle being parked along an Interstate 85 onramp approximately 20 miles from Atlanta.
