DECATUR, AL (WAFF) -
Morgan County deputies arrested a man accused of trafficking heroin.
Officials said they received tips of heroin sales in Morgan County. Investigators developed Timothy Shane Rogers as a suspect.
Investigators said Rogers had been making weekly trips to Birmingham to purchase the drugs. He would then sell it in Morgan County.
Morgan County Drug Task Force agents made five purchases from Rogers during the three month investigation. All the purchases were made in a school zone.
Investigators searched Rogers' home and found drug paraphernalia, all of which had heroin residue on it. They also seized a black Mercedes-Benz.
Rogers was arrested and charged with three counts of distribution of a controlled substance.
