HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -
A Madison County grand jury indicted two people following a sting operation at Huntsville convenience stores.
Abdulmalik Haggagi faces one count of theft 2nd and one count of receiving stolen property 2nd. Fisal Alajii is charged with two counts of theft 2nd and one count of receiving stolen property 2nd.
Investigators say some retail stores were buying stole retail property to resell it. Representatives from Publix and Kroger worked with Huntsville Police during the sting operation.
The grocery stores provided officers with retail items to sell to the suspected businesses. The items included cigarettes, energy drinks, and baby formula, alcohol.
The sting detail lasted more than three weeks.
Haggagi was arrested at the Texaco at 4011 University Drive.
