PRICEVILLE, AL (WAFF) -

Flood waters are posing a problem for some people in Morgan County. The water from the Tennessee River has crept into several yards; one of those yards belongs to Jameson Barber.

"Well, I looked out the door and I just couldn't believe how much water was out here in the yard," Barber said.  "I mean I've never seen it flooded like this before."

The Tennessee River is just a few miles away from his Priceville home.  The persistent rainfall has left his yard and others covered in water inches deep.

"On Monday it was more than three inches and I checked it on Tuesday and it's probably about five inches or so all together," he said.

Barber said the wet weather in the area has kept him from doing his job.

"I can't get out to do any farming work right now," he said.  "It's really hindering it because I can't get out to do anything. It's too muddy in the field without it coming up to your knees."

Rain is in the forecast for the next few days. Barber said until the wet weather ends he has one plan.

"I'm just going to wait it out. That's all we can do," he said.  "Just wait it out and hope it goes away soon until it all dries up."
