Flooding reported in North AL, roads closed

A flood warning is in effect for much of North Alabama.

Portions of the following roads are closed because of water over the roadway:

Marshall County:

  • Butler Mill Road
  • Mill Road
  • Snead Bottom Road
  • Cathedral Caverns Road
  • Babe Wright Road 

Fish Trap Road is open, but is being monitored for rising water levels, and may have to be closed later Tuesday evening.

Madison County:

  • North Bound Lane of Mose Chapel
  • Billy D Harbin Road from Henry Taylor Road to Walker Lane
  • Stone Drive east of Brock

Morgan County

The sewer system in Decatur is nearing capacity. Citizens are asked to limit water going down the drains.

Lawrence County:

  • County Road 150

Jackson County:

  • County Road 31 in Pikeville
  • County Road 109 in Larkinsville
  • County Road 142 in Paint Rock Valley
  • County Road 507 in Paint Rock Valley

DeKalb County

  • County Road 386
  • County Road 39

Colbert County

  • King Bridge on King Bridge Rd

Flooding and road closures should be reported to the local Emergency Management Agency.
