MADISON COUNTY, AL (WAFF) -
Two men were injured after an explosion inside a Madison County business.
A man was working on a maintenance truck with a butane tank on it, around 9:30 p.m. Monday at Rocket City Truck Repair on Export Circle. The butane leaked from the tank, and got to the heater inside the garage.
The worker saw the butane ignite, and ran from the explosion. The garage door was blown off, and hit the man.
Firefighters arrived, and worked to contain the blaze. One firefighter was injured when he was hit with debris. He had eight stitches in his mouth.
The worker suffered a broken jaw, but is expected to recover.
It happened at the Rocket City Truck Repair on Export Circle in Madison County.
