ASCENSION PARISH, LA (WAFB) -
A Saturday morning shooting in the town of Sorrento has left one person dead.
An Ascension Parish Sheriff's Office spokesperson says several people heard gunshots around 3:30 a.m. near L V Road.
The victim has been identified as 41-year-old Gerald Wilkins of Baton Rouge.
