HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -
A suspected shoplifter got more than he bargained for at a University Drive Belk's.
Police reported that Larry Maxfield attempted to leave the Belk's with stolen merchandise Friday night.
When a loss prevention employee tried to stop him, Maxfield began to fight.
Loss prevention got the upper hand and held him until police arrived on scene.
Maxfield was arrested and charged with third degree robbery.
