NEW HOPE, AL (WAFF) -
Some Valley students are reaching out to help the victims of the Sandy Hook Elementary School massacre.
Students at New Hope High School, New Hope Elementary and Owens Cross Roads Elementary are selling T-shirts for $10 apiece. ESP out of Fyffe is making the shirts at cost with all the proceeds going to help the families and victims in Newtown, Connecticut.
The idea came from Michael Bobbitt's wife.
"She's a school counselor, and it just tore her heart up cause she's a counselor at an elementary school. It devastated her, as it did everyone across the nation," said Bobbitt.
The shirts are green and white, Sandy Hook's colors, with an eagle, their mascot.
If you'd like to order one, call New Hope High School.
