8 people arrested in Fort Payne drug bust - WAFF-TV: News, Weather and Sports for Huntsville, AL

Fort Payne Police and agents with the DeKalb County Drug Task Force arrested eight people on drug charges after a search of an apartment.

Officers responded to the apartment at 1310 Forest Avenue NW after a concerned citizen called to report suspicious activity at apartment 63. Officers were allowed inside on a consensual search for illegal items

Investigators discovered spice, a synthetic drug, and drug paraphernalia inside the apartment. They also found a vehicle meth lab outside the apartment. Police arrested the following people:

• Danny Ryan Albright, 25, of Fort Payne - possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia
• Lisa Lynn Lanier, 27, of Fort Payne - possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia
• Vanessa Leann Bowman, 24, of Flat Rock - possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia
• Savannah Michael Pinegar, 19, of Fort Payne, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia
• Sarah Elizabeth Mayo, 27, of Fort Payne, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia, and a warrant for theft of property
• Byron Trey Peppers, 21, of Fort Payne - possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia, and a warrant for driving while suspended
• Michael Shane Griffin, 38, of Fort Payne, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia, and a warrant for defrauding secure creditors
• Levi Derek Johnson, 29, of Rainsville - Warrant for harassment

All of those arrested were transferred to the DeKalb County Sheriff's Office.
