LIVINGSTON, LA (WAFB) -
A Livingston man already in jail on meth charges will spend more time behind bars for his role in a scheme to bring meth into jail.
According to reports, deputies learned that someone was going to lob a package of multiple drugs, including meth, into prison grounds, where a trustee would pick it up and bring to Thomas, as well as other inmates.
Thomas was sentenced to five years in prison for conspiracy to introduce or possess contraband in jail, as well as 10 years on meth charges.
Charges against the other nine people arrested in connection with the case are still pending.
