MADISON COUNTY, AL (WAFF) -
A Madison County health inspector reported problems with the meat department at La Noche Buena on Jordan Lane in Huntsville.
The inspector handed them a 74 after they discovered raw meat and ready-to-eat food stored together in the walk-in cooler and in the meat display cooler. The inspector also reported the slicer was not cleaned between the slicing of different types of meats, and they spotted some roaches on the wall next to the mop sink.
The Marshall County Health Department handed the deli at the Y Mart in Boaz an 82. Two critical violations were reported, one for hot dogs and sandwiches held 15 degrees below the required temperature to prevent bacterial growth in hot-holding foods. The inspector also discovered a cleaner bottle next to plastic utensils and sauces.
