BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) -

Some roads closed in Baton Rouge because of flooding Thursday, while other remained open but were barely passable.

The intersection at Burbank and Nicholson is closed due to high water.

Tiger Bend is open, but has barricades and drivers are urged to be careful.

The Louisiana State Police reported parts of I-10 East between Essen to Highland were holding water, creating road hazards. The roadway was not closed due to the water.

There were also streets with isolated hazards, making it tricky for drivers.

Water was shooting into the street Thursday morning on St. Joseph near the Baton Rouge Police Department.

The sewage department was heading out to investigate.
