ATHENS, AL (WAFF) -
The Limestone County man charged with the murder of his grandmother will go to trial February 25.
Investigators say James Paul Pigg shot Barbara Delaney and beat her with a hammer.
Pigg lived with Delaney not long before the murder. The week before the murder Sheriff's deputies served Pigg with an eviction notice. Delaney stated that Pigg did not pay rent and his destructive habits impacted her health.
Pigg's trial will be held at the Limestone County Courthouse in Athens.
