HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -

Two people were injured in a shooting inside a Huntsville bar early Thursday morning.

Just after midnight, Huntsville police responded to the Crossroads on East Clinton Avenue.

Terrence Rogers, 24, and Marcus Anders, 30, were shot on the second floor during a Rich Homie Quan concert, according to police.

Investigators said the shooter knew victims. The shooter approached the men and shot at Rogers. Rogers shot back, but missed the shooter and hit Anders instead.

Officers said both victims and the offender ran outside the bar, where HEMSI picked up the victims.

Anders was treated and released from Huntsville Hospital. Rogers' injuries were more serious, but both victims are expected to be ok.

The bar closed immediately after the shooting. Police said several hundred people were inside the bar when the shooting happened.

This isn't the first time a shooting has happened at the Crossroads. Court documents show the nightclub is being sued for negligence in a July 2009 incident where a man was shot in the abdomen.

He claims the club failed to provide adequate security by letting someone enter with a loaded firearm.

There are no signs on the building to indicate if guns are allowed inside, but police confirmed the club's employees search people before letting them in.

"The restrictions on carrying a firearm into a business depend on the business. It's up to them. However, the reason they pat down everybody is so they don't bring weapons into the club," said Kevin Matthews with Huntsville Police.

Police are working to track down a person of interest, but have not released his name.
