BOAZ, AL (WAFF) -

Boaz Police are looking for a jail inmate who escaped from a work release job in Albertville last week.

Investigators said 33-year-old Tracy Maddox was last seen around 3 p.m. on Friday, January 4th at the Boaz/Albertville Recycle Center. Staffers contacted police when they noticed he was missing. Investigators believe someone came and picked him up.

Maddox was serving time for outstanding fines.
