ATHENS, AL (WAFF) -
The Limestone County man arrested on drug charges following a raid at a convenience store will appear in court January 29.
Athens Police arrested Sahjanand Patel as a result of the investigation. He is charged with possession of salvia, or synthetic marijuana, and distribution.
During the Friday night raid investigators report finding two bags of synthetic marijuana, 284 counterfeit CD's and 36 pornographic DVD's inside the Exxon Food Mart on Highway 72.
Police say they also found items used to weigh, smoke and process illegal drugs.
