ATHENS, AL (WAFF) -
The man accused of stabbing his cousin on New Year's Eve in Limestone County has a preliminary hearing scheduled for January 26.
Kenny Adams is charged with the murder of Yancy Foster. The stabbing happened at a mobile home park on Chris Way just west of Athens.
Limestone County Sheriff Mike Blakely says the cousins were arguing over the movies The Fast and the Furious and 2 Fast 2 Furious.
Blakely says Foster died after being stabbed with a pocket knife.
Investigators say Adams left the scene after the stabbing. Court documents state he was picked up a short time later near the scene.'
The preliminary hearing will be held at the Limestone County Courthouse in Athens. That hearing will determine if there is enough evidence to send the case to a grand jury.
