FLORENCE, AL (WAFF) -
The man charged with making a terrorist threat following an incident at a Florence hospital has a preliminary hearing scheduled for February 1.
During that hearing a judge will decide if there is enough evidence to send the case against Rodney Lee Lightfoot to a grand jury.
Court documents state Lightfoot said he would "make Sandy Hook look minor" if he did not receive care in the emergency room at Eliza Coffee Memorial Hospital.
Investigators say Lightfoot, of Franklin County, also said he would kill people across North Alabama by using explosives and fire.
Lightfoot remains in the Lauderdale County Detention Center.
