RUSSELLVILLE, AL (WAFF) -
A special prosecutor for the State of Alabama filed a motion to have Tharptown Constable Ray Hill impeached following a grand jury indictment.
In November 2012, Hill ran unopposed for the position he's held for 22 years despite the pending charges.
Hill is accused of sexually assaulting a 17-year-old girl.
Investigators say the abuse happened while Hill was helping to direct traffic at a brush fire in Tharptown in January 2012.
