BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) -
The Baton Rouge Area Chamber has unveiled its 2013 strategic plan.
President and CEO Adam Knapp outlined the plan Monday at the Baton Rouge Press Club.
Knapp says it includes seven flagship goals, including the support for strategies to improve public safety, recruiting more foreign investors and creating new jobs for the region.
"Something we had set as a goal in this new campaign was to focus on the quality of the jobs and the industry sector that we were going after that there'll be higher wages and a growth-oriented sector and we're pleased to see that that outcome is hitting now," said Knapp.
BRAC estimates the total economic impact from projects in 2012 to be nearly 2,300 jobs and $130 million in total payroll.
