MIAMI (WAFF) -
Kick off to the BCS Championship game is
hours away, but many fans have already started their pregame rituals.
Fans are gearing up for the big game with
tailgating and time honored rituals.
Whether it's a lucky t-shirt or watching the game in a
special seat, some fans' passion for the game spills out in bizarre rituals.
One Notre Dame fan said he won't shave his beard. Another fan
holds on to a jersey that his father bought him when he was a kid. He said when
it's not with him, the team loses.
Fans on both side are wiling away the hours until the game
with tailgating, and fans are going all out.
While Alabama fans are outnumbered at the game, they still
put on a good tailgate with Southern fried food and entertainment.
One group, called the Houndstooth Hunks and Honeys, said
they never miss a game and don't mind being outnumbered because Bama fans
tailgate best.
Many fans showed up to the tailgate prepared – with massive
RV's fully decked out.
The RV lot was packed and spots to park were running upwards
of $150.
The game starts are 7 p.m. on ESPN.
