BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) -
UPDATE: All eastbound and westbound lanes of I-10 are now open.
All westbound lanes of the Mississippi River Bridge are open. Two lanes on the eastbound side of I-10 are blocked due to an accident.
Sunday morning a crash closed all lanes of the I-10 the bridge into East Baton Rouge Parish.
The crash involved an 18-wheeler that is leaking diesel fuel into the river. According to the DOTD, a car is stuck under the 18-wheeler.
An alert was sent out by State Police via their Nixle text-messaging system around 11:00 a.m.
Baton Rouge Police are working the crash at this time. There are no reports of any injuries. Drivers are asked to alternative routes to cross the river.
