DECATUR, AL (WAFF) -
Decatur Police arrested a man on abuse charges after his child was treated for fractured bones at the hospital.
Investigators said 23-year-old Brian Dewayne Brown's two-month-old child was taken to Decatur General Hospital with multiple fracture ribs on New Year's Eve. The child was transferred to Huntsville Women's and Children's hospital where doctors found that the child's injuries were a result of multiple assaults over several days. The staff told police the injuries were not accidental.
Police arrested Brown on Friday, and charged him with aggravated child abuse. He was booked into the Morgan County Jail without bond.
