A change in policy disrupted lunch for a group of National Guard troops.
Army officials scheduled lunch for more than 150 soldiers preparing for deployment at Ryan's in Huntsville Friday afternoon, but when they arrived, they ran into a problem.
Ryan's changed their policy and is no longer accepting purchase orders, which is how the National Guard has paid for their meals in the past.
The restaurant now says it prefers credit cards, so the soldiers had to change their plans.
"It makes me feel sad that my soldiers are not being treated fairly," said Captain Johnny Scott. "They're the victims in this situation just because of two different systems."
Captain Jones said they will move on from this, and the troops had dinner Friday night at a different restaurant.
A manager at Ryan's said they resolved the issue, and the soldiers will return Saturday for a meal.
