GUNTERSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -
North Alabama will be well represented in South Florida for Monday night's BCS Championship game between Alabama and Notre Dame
A unique group of Tide tailgaters with roots in Marshall County will be part of the huge crowd in Miami.
Jeri Jones of Guntersville is preparing to head to Miami Friday with her friend Tammie Stone. They're part of a group of about 13 members called "The Hounds tooth Gang." They are a group of Tide tailgaters who've been going to games together for the last 10 years.
"Just a lot of mutual friends going down to Tuscaloosa and away games and tailgating," said Jones. "Everybody knows somebody from one group and it became a bigger group."
"Just hardcore. Just love the games. Love to hang out before the games. It's a big get-together, a good time," said Stone.
They're headed out Friday at noon. The group is made up of friends from Texas, Tennessee, and Alabama. They'll hook up with their friends down in Miami. This will be their first national title game together.
