HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -
Huntsville police said a man with a gun tried to rob a McDonald's restaurant early Thursday morning.
The attempted robbery happened around 2 a.m. at the restaurant on 2600 Memorial Parkway NW.
According to police, the manager was checking the exterior of the building, when the armed man approached him. The manager says the man wore a black hoodie.
The man took the manager around to the drive-through window. Police said an employee inside saw what was going on and pushed an alarm.
The armed man ran into some nearby woods. Police said he did not get any money. The man remains on the run.
