MUSCLE SHOALS, AL (WAFF) -
A hearing has been set for the Muscle Shoals police officer who was terminated after he was arrested and charged with illegal hunting and reckless endangerment.
TVA officials said Greg Scoggins shot a deer on federal property from his patrol car while he was on duty.
The reckless endangerment charges were added due to the number of homes and businesses in the area.
Scoggins will have a hearing with the mayor Thursday afternoon, to talk about his termination. Scoggins' attorney said his client was fired for having a personal firearm in a city vehicle and for discrediting the Muscle Shoals Police Department.
