GADSDEN, AL (WAFF) -
A carnival worker from Georgia was arrested for allegedly
sexually abusing a young child in Etowah County.
Officials said George Michael Smith of Eatonton, Georgia was
arrested on an indictment for sexually abusing a child under 12.
Officials said the incident took place July 17, 2012 in
Gadsden.
Smith worked for a traveling carnival and moved frequently.
Putnam County deputies arrested Smith and transferred him to
Etowah County.
