HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -
Huntsville police were out in force on New Year's Eve. Officers ran DUI checkpoints at several locations across the city.
Monday night, police made five arrests, three for driving under the influence. Officers also issued 37 citations.
In addition to making sure drivers were sober, officer checked to make sure drivers had their licenses and registration.
Officers also made sure drivers and passengers wore seatbelts.
