DAYTONA, FL (WAFF) -
A missing Alabama boy was found safe in Daytona, Florida, after two days on the road with his father, police said.
A missing child alert was issued on December 6th for 5-year-old Thomas Evan Diggs. Authorities said he was taken by his father, Thomas Eric Diggs, from an Arby's in Talladega.
Diggs is the non-custodial father of Thomas. Police said Thomas was located in Daytona with his father. U.S. Marshals secured the child, and are waiting on his mother to arrive.
Police said the 5-year-old appears to be in good condition and will be turned over to his mother when she gets to Daytona.
The child's father has been arrested, and is being held in Daytona.
