WOODVILLE, AL (WAFF) -
A Florence man was arrested in Jackson County on out standing warrants.
Jackson County authorities said 27-year-old Jeffrey Tyler Mecke stole a Honda Foreman 500 ATV from a home in the 9000 block of Highway 72 on December 19th. They said he then sold the ATV to an independent car lot in Madison County.
Mecke was arrested on outstanding warrants out of Madison County. He was transferred to the custody of the Madison County Sheriff's Office.
Mecke also faces charges in Lauderdale County of first degree escape, third degree robbery, and second degree theft.
The stolen ATV was recovered from the car lot and returned to its owner.
