HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -
Christmas night storms caused minor damage around Huntsville, and left some in the dark.
A south Huntsville neighborhood woke up Wednesday morning without power. A tree fell onto a power line on Lytle Street overnight.
The outage spanned from Lytle to California Street, and from Westmoreland to Alta Vista Avenue.
Also overnight, Madison Police said a tree that blocked Browns Ferry Road fell around midnight. Crews immediately responded to clear the road.
Police are concerned another tree in the area that could fall.
Another tree was downed in Morgan County on Morrow Mountain Road near Pine Road. Crews had it cleaned up quickly, though.
For now, Madison police say to avoid Browns Ferry between Vinewood and Mose Chapel Road.
If you see any damage or downed power lines, Huntsville Utilities said not to try to clean them up yourself. Call the utility company to report it.
