MADISON COUNTY (WAFF) -
Huntsville Police are investigating a Christmas Eve shooting that happened at a gas station late that night.
Police said someone shot Antonious Collier twice in the back at the Fuel City gas station on University Drive around 10 p.m.
Investigators said Collier had just purchased cigarettes and was approaching his car when he felt a "stinging pain" in his back.
Collier did not see who shot him.
He managed to drive himself to the Boxwood Court Apartments where friends called 911 for help.
HEMSI arrived to treat Collier on the scene and sent him to Huntsville Hospital. His injuries are not life-threatening, according to police.
Police have not made an arrest in connection to the shooting.
